(ACE Certified Personal Trainer)
Hi everyone! My name is Julia and I grew up in White Rock, BC. Recreational fitness and competitive sports have been a huge part of my life since I was young. I had the pleasure of being involved with the Whistler ski kids program for about 8 years then became a seasonal ski instructor which was an incredible experience! In addition to being an ACE certified personal trainer, I am in my final year at UBC-O in the Human Kinetics program and look forward to diving into the field of kinesiology once I graduate.

Hi everyone! My name is Jesse Bourgeois. Originally from the small Kootenay town of Creston, I am currently a fourth year Clinical Exercise Physiology Human Kinetics student as well as the Healthy Living Integrated Living Community Leader in Residence Life. I played Hockey for nine years before attending University and was left without a competitive outlet in my first year. As a result I turned to Strength and Conditioning as a means of pushing myself in a positive direction inside and outside of the gym. I am currently training mainly for Powerlifting and Olympic Weightlifting with accessory work on the side to maintain athleticism and the physique that I enjoy. I received my Canadian Fitness Education Services Personal Trainer Certification last year and have been working in the field ever since. What I embrace is the lifestyle and nutrition required to obtain your goals, and an understanding of whether you are looking to train, or to exercise, and what that difference is. I’ve gotten to train a wide variety of clients ranging from those just looking to get back in shape, to cross-country runners, to competitive hockey players, powerlifters, Olympic weightlifters, and crossfitters.
If you’d like to know more about my philosophy on health, fitness, or nutrition, feel free to contact me by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
(CSEP-CPT & BCRPA)
Fitness has been a huge part of my life since I was a teenager. I live an active lifestyle and have participated in various sports such as soccer, gymnastics, and biking, just to name a few. In 2010 I became a BCRPA Personal Trainer which allowed me to work in a variety of gyms and start my own Personal Training business. My love of fitness has also brought me to instructing fitness classes, as well as setting a personal goal to compete in a figure competition.
Working with the public has taught me that many people come with injuries, illness or personal constraints, spiking my interest in the human body and leading me to further my education and pursue a degree in Kinesiology. I currently hold a Kinesiology Diploma and a CSEP-CPT (Certified Personal Trainer) designation. Currently continuing my education, I am a full time Human Kinetics student here at UBCO. I work with a diverse group of clients at The Hangar Fitness Centre and look forward to meeting you in the near future.
